From purely commercial beginnings, Jaimin is passionate about public service. His background has seen him through various career choices and ultimately to the world of local government. With over 20 years of translation and interpreting provision now under his belt, it seems he made the right call.
Since taking up his post at the head of the service, Jaimin has brought with him a drive and determination to provide the best quality services to all customers. He works tirelessly to ensure value for money services, whilst continuously exploring innovative ways of delivering language services. Two of his key achievements include leading The Language Shop to win a national customer service award, beating some household names to first place, and pioneering a public sector partnership to cover the whole north east London region. The latter has brought huge cost savings and benefits to service users.
Personally, he is extremely passionate about meeting the needs of the vulnerable communities he serves, promoting high quality and ethical services. Recognising the significant role that the Language Shop interpreters play in delivering these services in sometimes extremely difficult situations.
